Speed Skating Boot - BONT Semi Race 3

The BONT Semi Race is a benchmark model that helped define the category of intermediate speed skating boots. It was developed for skaters who wanted the sensations and performance of a racing boot while maintaining a higher level of comfort and versatility.

The Semi Race 3 is designed for riders who want to skate fast without sacrificing comfort. Its construction provides excellent power transfer while maintaining a good range of movement.

For this third generation, BONT introduced a rigid plastic cuff for the first time. This cuff provides increased lateral stability and support, especially when skating at higher speeds or pushing hard through corners.

Despite the addition of the rigid cuff, the boot retains a very flexible rear section, allowing excellent forward flex. The large V-shaped cutout around the lacing area further improves freedom of movement and makes it easier to achieve the low skating position required for speed skating.

The carbon composite base provides excellent stiffness and efficient power transfer to the frame. The outer microfiber construction, combined with a Suede-L lining and soft memory foam padding, provides lasting comfort during long skating sessions.

The BONT Semi Race 3 is also a fully vegan boot, made without animal-derived materials.

Sizing

BONT boots use a specific sizing system and generally fit approximately one size smaller than your usual shoe size.

To avoid choosing the wrong size, we strongly recommend measuring your feet and referring to the official BONT size chart shown in the product images.

Choosing the correct size is particularly important with a speed skating boot, which needs to provide a precise fit while remaining comfortable during intense skating sessions.

Why choose the BONT Semi Race 3?

The BONT Semi Race 3 is an excellent choice for skaters looking to move towards a more performance-oriented speed skating boot without immediately stepping into an extremely rigid racing setup.

Its rigid cuff provides the stability needed to maximize power and edge control, while the flexible rear section and V-shaped cutout maintain excellent forward mobility.

It is an ideal boot for skaters looking for the right balance of speed, precision, support, and comfort.
