How to use the YOYO bearing press

The system is relatively simple.

To install bearings:

1. Place one bearing on the movable tube.
2. Add the spacer between the two bearings.
3. Position the wheel.
4. Place the second bearing.
5. Position the tube horizontally.
6. Pull down the lever to press the bearing into place.

Both bearings can then be installed correctly in the wheel.

To remove bearings:

1. Put the lever in the open position.
2. Use the small hook located at the end of the tool.
3. Position the wheel on the hook through the bearing.
4. Move the spacer aside so the hook can catch the bearing.
5. Hold the wheel and operate the lever.
6. The bearing and spacer will come out together.
7. Turn the wheel over and repeat the process for the second bearing.

What wheels is it compatible with?

The YOYO SKATES bearing press works with many different types of wheels.

Inline skates: compatible with all disciplines and wheels up to 125 mm in diameter.

Roller skates: compatible with all wheel widths and diameters.

Skateboards: compatible with different wheel diameters and wheel types.

What about scooter wheels and metal-core wheels?

Yes, the press can also be used with wheels featuring metal, aluminum or alloy cores.

In this situation, we recommend lubricating the outside of the bearing and the inside of the wheel core before installation.

It is also important to make sure the bearing is correctly aligned with the wheel core during pressing to prevent it from going in at an angle.

7 mm or 8 mm: which version?

This is particularly useful for roller skaters.

Many quad skates use 7 mm axle bearings, especially 627-type bearings.

The shaft of the bearing press must therefore match the axle diameter.

Since 2025, YOYO SKATES has offered the press in two versions:

• 8 mm version
• 7 mm version

You can therefore choose the version that matches your equipment.
